BLUEMOUND HEIGHTS NEIGHBORHOOD ASSOCIATION

The Bluemound Heights Neighborhood Association is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that was established in 2017 to provide an organized framework to enhance the quality of life within the Bluemound Heights neighborhood.  We do this by:

  • elevating and promoting the image of the neighborhood,

  • creating a safe living environment,

  • encouraging residents to become involved in community affairs,

  • having a unified voice to address issues that impact the neighborhood,

  • promoting a sense of pride and identity among the residents,

  • providing an avenue for neighborhood social activities,

  • and initiating and overseeing neighborhood improvement projects.

Any person 18 years of age or older who resides, owns property or conducts business from real estate within the boundaries of the Bluemound Heights neighborhood is eligible for membership within the BHNA.  Learn more about membership.

MEET THE BOARD

Kim Michels, President

  • Kim Michels has lived in Bluemound Heights for 16 years

  • Lives with her husband and two daughters

  • She loves walking around our neighborhood, especially to visit the Little Free Library

  • She also walks to work at McGinn's where she gets to wait on so many of our great neighbors

  • Kim and her family also love going to Brewer games

Leah Wanta, Vice President

  • Has lived in Bluemound Heights since 2015

  • Lives with her husband Eric and their two boys

  • Loves walking with her family to Gillies for custard and cheese curds

Kim Rohde, Treasurer

  • Has lived in Milwaukee her whole life and moved to Bluemound Heights 12 years ago

  • Lives with her husband (Pete)

  • Can be found playing cribbage at McGinn's and cheering on all the Wisconsin teams

  • Rarely misses a neighborhood event and loves them all!

  • Likes living in Bluemound Heights because it has a small town feel within the neighborhood, but has conveniences of the city nearby

  • Born and raised in Milwaukee and moved to Bluemound Heights 1.5 years ago

  • Lives with her husband, kiddos, and cats

  • Appreciates being able to walk her kids to school

  • Enjoys exploring the neighborhood with her family
